The suite of services available at Seascape Marine is as diverse as the yachts we serve. Whether owning, operating, registering, chartering or simply
maintaining a yacht of any size, we take a needs-driven approach to provide the best bespoke solution for all yacht-related requirements.

FLAG REGISTRATION

The choice of flag is important as it determines who is responsible for regulating and inspecting the vessel. At Seascape we advise owners on the most appropriate flag to support the yacht’s operations. Flag state requirements differ between the various flag registries, which is why we also assist with the registration process, requisite surveys and provide ongoing support for statutory requirements, from certificate renewals and name changes to a transfer of ownership.

CAPTAIN SUPPORT

Seascape Marine has become a go-to name for captains and chief engineers who have experienced our dedicated support around the world. No ask is too big, no yacht is too small. We help source the most suitable options, based on price, delivery time or proximity to the vessel, for consideration by those making the ultimate decision. Examples of what our support encompasses include planning maintenance schedules with review of their effectiveness and periodic inspections on board by the yacht’s superintendent. Assisting on board engineering staff with routine shipyard specifications and appointing competent contractors to assist with maintenance. We source technical consultants where necessary, arrange the enrolment of emergency response services, and liaise with class and flag state surveyors to ensure compliance. And when it’s time for the yacht to enter the dock or repair facility, we coordinate the management and supervision of works.

CREW MANAGEMENT

All yachts that are managed by Seascape gain exclusive access to our Safety Management System (SMS). Its clear objective is to ensure safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, and avoidance of damage to the environment and property.

Our professional team of qualified experts are equipped to manage all technical requirements of any yacht under the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, International Ship & Port Security (ISPS) Code and Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC) regulations. But our Seascape support extends much further, taking in familiarisation for the crew, ongoing monitoring of the implementation of the SMS, continual improvement and development and shore-based assistance whenever needed.

YACHT MANAGEMENT

Running successful yacht operations requires hands-on, time-consuming management that many owners and captains simply don’t have the resources to undertake. Our yacht management solutions are tailored to the yacht and owner’s requirements, which means wherever the yacht is in the world, its needs are taken care of.

Our skilled teams assist with setting up ownership structures to complement the yacht’s intended operation, take care of VAT management and insurance arrangements, and handle the yacht’s financial accounts, including expenditures and budgets. We are highly experienced in compliance and risk mitigation, provide logistical assistance with customs, cruising permits, and booking agents and pilots, while our international network of contacts ensures we source the most competitive quotes on the market for all yacht purchasing needs.

We also serve as technical consultants or as full owners’ representatives on new build projects of all sizes, from the initial point of contract negotiation through to delivery.

CHARTER AND COMMERCIAL SUPPORT

A commercial yacht is any yacht engaged in trade, commerce or on charter. Making a yacht available for charter can bring financial benefits, though it requires ongoing management and commercial support to ensure the continued smooth running of the vessel.
In conjunction with the appointed central agent, we manage the appointment of the fiscal agents in chartering jurisdictions, as well as the ongoing management of the charter fees, APA and any applicable VAT.
